Urban Sky is part of Replanted, an ongoing series that explores displacement and belonging through the
metaphor of the tree. Layering two photographs – a monochromatic concrete wall with dried leaves and a
vibrant image of a tree against a blue sky – the work creates a dialogue between vitality and constraint,
artificial and natural. Encased within an acrylic structure, the rolled photograph becomes a confined sculptural
body, reflecting how urban environments fracture our relationship with nature and limit access to open, green
and private space.
