This work has its roots in The Tree Within -- a well-known poem by Octavio Paz, a
Mexican writer and diplomat. Critics describe the poem as a metaphysical
metaphor of an inverted tree growing within a body. Through the metaphor of
a tree, I explore how home and place are stored and imprinted inside us.
